DMCA & Abuse Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
PressGo respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our services to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond promptly to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement involving content hosted through our services, and we will remove or disable access to infringing material when properly notified.
2. Designated Agent
Notices of claimed infringement should be sent to our designated agent:
- Joe Holder, PressGo Digital
- Email: [email protected] (subject line: "DMCA Notice")
- Phone: (864) 436-8680
3. Filing a Notice of Infringement
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough information (such as the URL) for us to locate it
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
4. Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously and make a reasonable attempt to notify the user who posted it. The user may then submit a counter-notice as described below.
5. Counter-Notice
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the infringement.
6. Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our services or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is repeat infringement.
7. Other Abuse Reports
To report other abuse involving content or sites hosted through PressGo, including malware, phishing, spam, impersonation, or other violations of our Terms of Service, email [email protected] with the subject line "Abuse Report" and include the URL of the material and a description of the issue. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content and suspending or terminating accounts.
